Perimenopause and Menopause

Perimenopause and menopause often go unnoticed, yet they bring significant changes to our lives.

Symptoms can vary widely - from shorter menstrual cycles and hot flushes to anxiety, depression and trouble sleeping or concentrating. As hormone levels, particularly oestrogen and progesterone, decline, noticeable changes occur in the body, especially the skin.

Skin dryness becomes a major issue during perimenopause and menopause, along with decreased collagen production, affecting elasticity and skin thickness. Reduced vitamin D production also impacts skin repair and ageing.

To help support you during this time, I’d like to share my personal journey, including my updated skincare routine, nutritional and lifestyle tips and custom-built skincare bundles designed to enhance hydration, boost collagen and nurture skin health.

For many women, myself included, perimenopause isn't easy to navigate. I hope my experiences and suggestions can support others during this time of change.

Bridget’s Perimenopause Skincare Routine

With the onset of perimenopause and my skin becoming drier and losing firmness, I’ve enhanced my skincare routine to boost hydration and support collagen. Here's a glimpse into my daily routine.

This may seem like a lot, but it feels like part of my daily self-care routine, which is so important during perimenopause when mental health is often affected. If you're noticing changes in your body, don’t hesitate to talk to your Naturopath or Doctor. Start the conversation and take steps towards feeling better.

I hope this information is helpful. To discover more about my personal journey through perimenopause, check out the blog post I've written here.
