Australian Native Kakadu Plum (Terminalia ferdiandiana) is a fruit native only to Australia. This gorgeous green gem, found from the Kimberley to Cape York, has been valued by indigenous Australians for over 40,000 years, both for its food and medicinal properties. Also known by its indigenous names of billygoat plum, gubinge and murunga.
Primarily used as a food source, it was also used for medicinal purposes. The fruit and bark contain natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and so were used as a balm for burns, cuts, wounds, and rashes. It was also taken internally for colds, flus, and headaches.

Whilst this beautiful fruit is still used today by indigenous communities for both food and medicine, it is also harvested commercially to be sold as a food and used in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
We utilise it in our Ultimate Biome Spritz, primarily as a natural source of vitamin C, the highest known natural source in the world – containing about 100 times more vitamin C than oranges. In addition to this, its naturally high levels of gallic and ellagic acids offer incredible benefits to skin.
Kakadu Plum provides great benefits for skin including acting as an antioxidant to fight free radical damage, boosting collagen, reducing wrinkles and dark spots, brightening skin tone, and improving hydration, making it essential for anti-aging, protection against sun damage, and promoting a radiant, even complexion.
We source this ingredient from Northern Rivers based business, Native Extracts, whose values align well with ours – sustainability, conscious sourcing and eco-conscious manufacturing.
Try our Ultimate Biome Spritz to experience the beautiful benefits of this gorgeous fruit 💚

Our skin is a creature of habit and it loves a routine. When you suddenly change the products you have been applying to it – either by adding in products or by changing products completely – you will very often see a reaction in one form or another. This reaction can be either good or bad. A good reaction sees your skin improve. A bad reaction is very often a skin purge. Let's talk more about skin purges, why they happen and what you can do to lessen their effect.
